The Stephen Girard Papers were processed in the early 20th century, to facilitate the writing of an authorized biography, The Life and Times of Stephen Girard, Mariner and Merchant by John Bach McMaster (Philadelphia, J. B. Lippincott Company, 1918) in two volumes.
|Finding Aids||The Stephen Girard Archival Papers are accessed in two ways: 1) through a general typed finding guide that lists categories of data, cross-referenced to box and volume numbers and 2) through a detailed card catalog, arranged alphabetically by subject and creator, cross-referenced to box, volume and document number.|
