Description An oval dish and cover. The 8-sided oval lid with notched edges shows underglaze blue decoration having a diamond and lattice band at the outside edge. The center depicts a landscape with weepy trees, water, boats, an off-center building with pagoda roofs, and an empty bridge (Canton). The blue-painted, assymetrical, magnolia seed, central knob obscures part of the landscape. The 8-sided oval dish with notched edges shows underglaze blue decoration having a diamond and lattice border with a cloud-and-rain design border at the rim (Canton). The bottom of the interior depicts a landscape with weepy trees, water, boats, an off-center building with pagoda roofs, and an empty bridge (Canton) circumscribed by a diamond and lattice border. The outside of the body is decorated with flourishes of blue flowers at the ends and at the centers of the "long sides."
