Description Four oval platters with underglaze blue decoration having a diamond and lattice band at the edge bordered with a post-and-spear design (Nanking). A central circular medallion is surrounded by four arched trapezoidal panels comprised of stylized floral designs, representing the Chinese arts of music, painting, literature and poetry, and philosophy of life (Fitzhugh).
