Description |
Oblong, marble-top pier table with chamfered corners on an ogee-molded, plain frieze. Simple lyre-shaped supports enframe an oval piece of mirrored glass. Turned circular discs are applied at the volutes. A relief-carved shell intrudes upon the oval of the mirror at the center bottom. Mirror images of volutes and abstract foliage carved with inscribed lines decorate the area under the shell. Veneered, shaped plinth base. Serpentine bottom with carved C-scrolls and volutes in relief. Rolled edge flips upward at sides behind a volute. |
