Description |
Rectangular desk with raised sides and back. The top of the gallery is detailed with inscribed lines to form beaded edges. The sides of the gallery are shaped with ogee and S-curves. A central slant-top writing platform divides the work surface into three sections. Three pigeon hole compartments fit under the gallery at the sides. The writing platform is hinged at a 2/3 distance from the front. The gallery lifts to reveal storage and a divided drawer at the upper rear. The drawer Walnut, slant-front desk with four sheraton-style turned and tapered legs with ball feet, ball ankle and fine rings at hip support rectangular desk with raised sides and back, centered rectangular slant-top writing platform rests to meet gallery area which is hinged 3/4 length from front. One central false drawer with working keyhole for slant-top. Two working drawers left and right at front with raised two-section drawer at rear with screw-like brass pulls. Slant top also has felt writing area in poor condition |
