Description |
Unusual oblong pier table with rounded overhanging ends and two cockbeaded drawers in front. A frame that forms the top is fitted with imported marble laid in a symmetrical pattern forming a geometric design using dark and light stone with inlaid banding and a circle at the center. Under the top is a plain conforming frieze with cockbeading at the bottom. The drawers have oval federal-style brasses with an acorn motif. All six turned, tapered legs are carved in-the-round with acanthus leaf capitals, fluted tapered columns, and have turned bun-shaped ankles. |
